FAQ
Frequently asked
Does Trace track my location in the background?
Only while an activity is recording, and only after you press start. When you stop the activity, location tracking stops. Trace never follows you in the background outside a recording session.
Where are my activities stored?
Your activities and routes are stored on your device by default. There's no account required to record and review your history. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Which sports does it support?
Run, Ride, Hike and Swim, each with the metrics that suit it — pace and distance for running, speed and elevation for riding and hiking.
Do I need internet to record?
No. GPS works offline, so Trace records your route and metrics without a data connection. You only need connectivity for optional map tiles and updates.
